The sport of SCUBA diving combines the Scouting values of physical fitness, environmental awareness, international citizenship, and outdoor adventures. At Captain Rick’s Diving Adventures, we support the Scouting mission of developing these traits to create active, responsible, and adventurous leaders of the future. With both merit badge counselors on our staff—with over 20 years of experience volunteering for the Scouting scuba programs—no Dive Center in Ohio has more insider knowledge on helping Scouts and Venture Crew discover the world of SCUBA diving.

There are 3 steps to our Scout BSA Scuba program for Open Water SCUBA Certification.
1) Knowledge Development ~ You can get started learning to dive right now and work at your own pace using the NAUI/PADI eLearning system. This interactive study option allows you to learn anytime and anywhere you have an internet connection and a follow-up lecture with your instructors.2) Class & Pool Training ~ Develop your SCUBA skills with your instructor in the pool and solidify your dive theory in the classroom. For your troop's convenience, we offer classes multiple times per month here at our retail facility in our on-site, heated pool.
3) Open Water Dives ~ The final step of your certification is to complete 4 open water dives to show yourself and your instructor your competency as a diver. In the summer months, we offer these dives at Lakeview. In the winter, dives are available in South Florida.
