This course may be taken as a stand alone program or may be combined with other training programs such as the Advanced Scuba Diver course.

The EANx (Enriched Air Nitrox) class is a popular scuba diving course that teaches divers how to safely use air that contains a higher percentage of oxygen than traditional compressed air. This type of gas mixture is also known as "enriched air" or "nitrox" and typically has an oxygen content of between 32% and 40%, compared to the 21% oxygen found in regular air.

The course typically consists of a classroom session and practical application dives. During the classroom session, divers will learn about the benefits of using enriched air, including longer bottom times, reduced nitrogen absorption, and decreased risk of decompression sickness. The course will also cover the potential risks of using enriched air, such as oxygen toxicity, and how to mitigate those risks.

The course will also cover how to analyze and label cylinders filled with enriched air, as well as how to plan and execute enriched air dives. Divers will learn how to calculate the maximum depth and dive time for a given enriched air mixture, as well as how to properly set and monitor their dive computer for enriched air dives.

During the practical application dives, divers will have the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world diving environment. They will learn how to properly handle and use enriched air tanks, as well as how to plan and execute safe enriched air dives.

The EANx class is a great option for divers looking to increase their bottom time and reduce the risk of decompression sickness. It is also a valuable skill for divers who frequently dive at high altitudes or in cold water, where longer bottom times are often necessary. The course is open to certified open water divers and typically takes 1-2 days to complete
